Read the latest Covid 19 update.

December 11, 2024

Dear Residents, Responsible Parties, Family Members and Staff,

Earlier this week, we reported that our center had experienced three staff members and one long term care resident with positive Covid test results. We also shared that we would continue testing residents and staff in an effort to identify other possible positive cases. During testing over the last 48 hours we have had multiple residents, primarily from the same long term care unit, test positive for Covid-19.

All of the residents have been placed in isolation and will be closely monitored by staff. We have not had any additional staff members test positive at this time. We will continue testing throughout the remainder of this week and we will continue to provide updates in reference to our status.

Effective today, masks will be mandatory for all visitors, vendors and staff members until further notice. Additional recommendations include frequent hand sanitizing as well as social distancing when possible. Testing is also recommended on a regular basis. The facility can provide test kits for use at home as well as completing testing on site. Please speak to staff at our reception desk for assistance. We also request that individuals not enter the building if they are symptomatic with cold/flu like symptoms. We recommend individuals who are symptomatic to complete testing for Covid-19 and Influenza at the earliest, possible date before coming into the building. We are coordinating our response to this outbreak with the Harford County Health Department as they are assisting us with our response and guidelines.

Please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team if you have questions concerning Covid-19. We will be glad to have someone assist you with your questions. As noted above, we will provide updates throughout the week.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
