November 13, 2025

Brief follow up to our last communication: A staff member notified us after yesterday’s communication that they had tested positive for Covid-19 at a test completed outside of the center. This staff member does not provide direct care and was not in contact with the resident we advised you about yesterday as being positive. This staff member will remain off of the schedule until approved to come back per CDC guidelines and facility protocol. Please reread the information below as it is still relevant to our current status. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello Residents, Responsible Parties, Staff Members and Visitors,

It has been almost two months since we have had to send out a Covid-19 update. Unfortunately, today I must inform you that we have had a long – term care resident test positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours. Our staff will monitor them closely while they are in isolation. Testing of staff and residents who were potentially exposed to Covid-19 is underway and so far, those tests have been negative. If there are any additional cases, we will share that information accordingly.

As we have heard from the news media, as well as the CDC, respiratory viruses are very real and present in our area. Last month we were able to provide vaccines for a variety of respiratory illnesses to a number of our residents and staff. At this time, we do not have another vaccination clinic scheduled, however most pharmacies offer vaccines for RSV, Influenza, Pneumonia and Covid-19. We encourage individuals who are not up to date with their vaccinations, to discuss your status with your physician and consider scheduling an appointment to get up to date with all vaccinations.

Due to this positive case, our center will operate under outbreak status. Masks will be mandatory in all areas of our center. We hope to only have to implement this requirement for a short period of time. Frequent testing is strongly recommended and our center can provide test kits or perform tests on site. Please speak with our staff member at the front desk for assistance. We also encourage routine hand sanitizing, social distancing when possible and exercising caution when in large groups.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about the information included in this communication. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as our center continues to navigate through this outbreak.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
