Help Citizens Care win Best of Harford 2025

Ends Friday!

Read the latest Covid 19 update.

September 26, 2025

Hello Residents, Responsible Parties, Staff Members and Visitors,

In an effort to keep everyone updated, we have additional information to share about COVID. During the last 48 hours, while resident and staff testing was being conducted, we had an additional staff member as well as a resident test positive. As a result of these positive cases, our center will continue to keep COVID precautions in place while we remain in Outbreak status.

Any time a staff member tests positive, they are removed from the schedule in order for them to isolate at home and only return to work after following CDC guidelines. This is the case with all recent staff members who have tested positive. Residents who test positive are cared for while in isolation, as is the case with our most recent resident who tested positive. We follow CDC guidelines and closely monitor their condition.

Testing for residents and staff members, based upon contact tracing, will continue this weekend and into next week. If any additional positive cases are identified, we will provide an update. In the meantime, please assist us in preventing the spread of COVID by wearing a mask inside of the center, washing your hands frequently and helping to keep our center as clean as possible.

Visitors nor staff members should enter the building while exhibiting cold like symptoms, without first being tested for COVID and/or Influenza. Testing should also occur for any one aware of potential exposure to someone who has tested positive for either infection within the last ten days. COVID test kits for use at home, are available at the facility. Please check in with our security desk staff member if you need assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance as we continue to deal with COVID.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
