Help Citizens Care win Best of Harford 2025

Ends Friday!

Read the latest Covid 19 update.

January 15, 2026

Dear Residents, Responsible Parties, Staff Members and Visitors,

This communication is to advise you that we have had two residents test positive for Covid. The positive test results came while they were both outside of the facility receiving medical attention. Upon returning to our facility, they will both be placed on isolation and monitored closely.

Testing for residents continues based upon development of cold/flu-like symptoms. Testing of staff has been initiated based upon contact with either resident, as well as cold/flu like symptoms. If any additional positive cases are identified as a result of testing, we will communicate that information.

Our center will implement additional Covid guidelines. Masks must be worn in all areas of the building, they are no longer optional for staff and visitors. Frequent hand sanitizing is recommended, as is frequent testing. Our center continues to be able to assist with test kits, although we do have a limited supply on hand. If you need a test kit, please check with our concierge staff member at either reception desk for assistance.

As stated in prior communications, vaccination remains the best defense to protect everyone from the threat of serious health issues related to Covid. Residents and staff members should contact our Nursing Administration team at extension 2100 to sign up for our next vaccine clinic. The clinic is scheduled for Friday, January 30th from 10am – 2pm. We will be offering vaccines for prevention against Influenza, Covid, Pneumonia and RSV.

The number of upper respiratory related cases in Harford County continues to increase per information available from our healthcare partners. We encourage everyone to be cautious in large crowds and remember to disinfect high touch surface areas that you come in contact with on a regular basis. We appreciate your assistance and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
