Volunteer Services

Our Volunteers Add That Special Touch

Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center volunteers are an important part of our team who provide support, kindness and many other services to our residents, their families, and friends. The sole mission of our volunteer program is to enhance the quality of life of each of our residents. Volunteer opportunities working with residents include:

Opportunities with Residents

  • Assisting With Fundraising
  • Activities Assistant
  • One-On-One Activities
  • Pets On Wheels
  • Telephone Assurance Program ( TAP )
  • Gift Shop Attendant
  • Junior Volunteer ( between ages 14-17 )

Why Volunteer?

In addition to the satisfaction of brightening someone’s day, volunteers are eligible for free flu shots and are recognized annually during National Volunteer Week.

We only ask that our volunteers complete an application; attend an orientation; consent to a background check; attend mandatory in-service training on infection control, fire and safety procedures.

Kind Words

I was more than satisified with the excellent care my mother received while in your facility. Everyone involved in her care in anyway was wonderful to her and to the family. Thank you for making it pleasant for her and easier for us.
