TELEPHONE ASSURANCE PROGRAM
T.A.P.

A phone call each day to make sure you are ok

Do you live alone? Are you just recuperating from a hospital stay or rehab? Do you want to feel secure that someone is checking on you each day? If you answer yes to these questions then the telephone assurance program can be of service to you.

T.A.P. is a free service provided by Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center Volunteers.

T.A.P. is a daily person to person telephone call for individuals who live alone, or have medical problems but wish to maintain their independence by remaining in their home.

The participant who registers with the program provides the program coordinator with a medical history and emergency contact person or a good neighbor who consents to being involved in the Good Neighbor Program. Their duties are to check on the well-being of the participant when the volunteer is unable to contact you by telephone. A return call to the T.A.P. volunteer is required by the good neighbor.

State, county and local police agencies also participate in the program as an emergency backup in the event the participant and the good neighbor cannot be reached. The officer will make a check on the residence and call the volunteer with any information.

All information received by T.A.P. is kept confidential. The participant also receives birthday cards from the T.A.P. volunteers.
