Welcome to the Foundation

The Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center has authorized a Foundation to raise necessary funds to renovate and modernize our facilities for the benefit of our residents and staff. Citizens began caring for people in 1967 and has continued uninterrupted offering loving care to thousands of residents through the years.

Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center is a comprehensive nursing care facility in beautiful, historic Havre de Grace overlooking the Susquehanna River at the confluence of the Chesapeake Bay. Our facility can accommodate 184 residents in spacious private and semi-private rooms that are clean, bright, cheerful and truly offering the comforts of home. Citizens is staffed with caring, experienced professionals and provides 'round-the-clock' nursing care supported by a fully-equipped therapy department, many daily activities to stimulate the mind, body and spirit and other added amenities including Citizens Pharmacy, beauty salon and gift shop.

Now is time to begin our fund-raising efforts to fund our Capital Campaign to modernize the interior of our facilities for the good of our residents and staff. We ask for your support and donation to help make this dream come true.
