DIETARY SERVICES

The Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center meets the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our residents in accordance with the physician's orders and taking into careful consideration individual preferences.

We prepare and serve attractive and satisfying meals which meet standards set by the Federal, State, and Local agencies. The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's " Diet Manual for Long Term Care Patients" is used as a guide for planning and serving our residents and rehabilitation patients.

The Dietary Department Staff includes:

• Director of Dietary Services who is a member of the Dietary Managers Association, who assists the Dietitian in meeting the needs of our residents
• Assistant Director of Dietary Services
• Full Time Clinical Dietitian who is a member of the American Dietetic Association
• A full-time in-house baker, trained cooks, and dietary aides
